A fun thing we did this summer... We hatched monarch butterflies. Our friend brought them to us. We had two caterpillars and three eggs. We watched the eggs hatch and the caterpillars grow and grow. They double in size daily. It's amazing. It takes about two weeks until they spin their cocoon and then about two more weeks for them to hatch. Then we had these beautiful butterflies. They sat on our hands for about an hour while their wings dry out and then we took them outside to fly away. The boys loved it and it was just so cool!
