Christmas 2012
Christmas was a little different this year. Funny how the absence of one member of the family makes such a difference. It was a nice day. The boys liked their gifts and we were are very blessed. Scott surprised me with new doorknobs for the front and back doors. (to replace the ugly gold ones that were painted black and are now peeling).
Of course the highlight was skyping with Kyle. He has been in Boston for one week. The members are treating them well by feeding them most every night and twice on Christmas day. He loves his companion who is from Brazil and says Kyle is doing a great job. He was so very nice and we know he is taking good care of Kyle. They are both new to this area and so the work is a little slow, but we are praying along with them that it will pick up and they will find people to teach. It was so good to see his face and know that he is happy and well. He said he is eating most everything and not feeling sick. That is a huge miracle and blessing for him. The portuguese is coming... Kyle even talked to Aunt Jen (served in Brazil) and it was fun to hear them talking back and forth. (scott patched them in when Kyle called us later.) We skyped for over an hour and then he was able to call back twice later in the day when they were driving to other appointments and when his companion was skyping with his family. So fun. We were spoiled.
